5 Ways To Keep Facebook Fans Tuned In

IN THIS ARTICLE, I FOCUS ON GIVING 5 TIPS THAT CAN KEEP YOUR FACEBOOK FAN BASE TUNED IN TO WHAT YOUR DOING. I’M GOING TO GO INTO DETAIL ON EACH OF THE 5 TIPS, BUT THE GENERAL IDEA TO KEEP IN MIND IS “IF YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR FANS NEWS FEED THEN YOU ARE OUT YOUR FANS MIND”

  1. Create Engaging Content This is the cornerstone of keeping your fans tuned in. It all comes down to the product. You want to put together quality music, graphics, photos, videos, status updates, etc. The higher the quality of your content, the more likes you will receive. You may not have access to a multimillion dollar recording studio, or Warner Bro.’s HD camera’s, but you want to use the resources you have to make the best content you can. Please don’t try to FOOL your fans. They are not dumb and can see when you are posting lackluster content just to get by. 2. Post New Music It’s very important to post NEW MUSIC to your facebook and broadcast it to your existing fans on facebook. This let’s them know that you are still active and keeps you in their mind. Above all things, music is the end result of ALL your marketing efforts. Think of creative ways to introduce new music to fans. Some ideas: * New Song Every Week? * Free Download of The Month * Release Exclusive New Song once you get X-Amount of Likes * Song pertaining to Current Events (Valentines Day, SOPA, MLK Jr. Day) The goal here is not to just RANDOMLY post music, but develop an ocassion to excite fans and get them clicking the “LIKE” button and the “SHARE” button 3. Post Music From Artists Similar to You This is important because it breaks up the frequency of your posts so you don’t come off as a self centered douche bag to your fans. The artist you post may be a major artist, one of your friends, or another local artist. Either way, the goal with this step is not to promote the other artist (unless you want to). What you are doing in this phase is using their music to stir up conversations and connect with your facebook fans. Example   * This Kanye West and Jay-Z video is crazy * Eminem SNAPPED on this verse! Whoa! * This Nicki Minaj video is the craziest shit I’ve ever seen. 4. Ask Them Questions Keep in mind that fans aren’t mindless numbers that you accumulate over time. They are people like you and me. They also have voices and would like to be heard. The goal of this step is to create an off topic discussion that keeps them coming back to your page. You accomplish this by asking questions about current events or something related to your music scene. You can play it safe or keep it controversial. Example: * What do you guys think about my new song? * Who is the best rapper of all time? * Why do people cheat in relationships? Utilize these questions to spark up conversations and creatively find a way to plug your music as well. 5. Utilize Your Pages Power Facebook Pages can either be a GOLD MINE or a NIGHTMARE if you don’t know how powerful they are. Facebook Pages offered detailed statistics on how many people are visiting your page, the age of your fans, where they are located. Also, REVERBNATION develops a very good Application for your page that effectively displays and promotes your music to new fans in a very professional way. Your fan page also allows you to target SPECIFIC FANS in SPEFIC MARKETS to see SPECIFIC UPDATES that you send out. The goal here is to utilize all the features mentioned (plus more) to provide you with information and additional assistance with keeping your fans tuned in.
